Russia’s ALROSA to cut production at placer deposits in 2016
MOSCOW, May 31 (PRIME) -- Russian uncut diamond monopoly ALROSA plans to decrease its output at placer deposits in 2016, CFO Igor Kulichik said during a conference call on Tuesday.
“We have made a decision to decrease the production plan for 2016 – to 37 million from 39 million carats. However, this will not require decreasing output, closing the company’s main production capacities. The figures will be reached by cutting production at placer deposits,” he said.
